Is it normal for my wife to do this ?

My wife was on YouTube listening to the song I'm Alrrady There by Lonestar. It's one of her favorite songs but it makes her sad. The first time she heard when she was a teenager back when we were dating she couldn't listen because it made her cry since she's a little older now she's gotten more use to it but it still makes her sad. I went to get into bed with her she started crying she hugged me she begged me not to leave us to join the military I told her I would never do that. She's crying so hard right now she has the blankets pulled half way up her face. I told her I would never leave her or our kids. She's still upset. Is it normal to for her to feel this scared ? How can I calm her down ? What should I say to her ?

    Bless her wee cotton-polyester socks. Something may have happened when she was younger. Maybe not. Nonetheless - Comfort her. Reassure her. All is grand and always will be. If this still carries on - doctors?

    She is/ was having a panic attack and suffers from anxiety. Just keep reassuring her that you are there for her. If it interferes with her day-to-day life, get medical help.

    Oded here, this seems like a case of paranoia of sorts. But this is all too confusing. Maybe the song triggers something in her that reminds her of a past event where she was abandoned or of such relations. Just comfort her and reassure whenever she needs it. This behaviour won't last forever. Hope this helps.
