As a son, I never got dressed going from the bedroom to the bathroom. I am naked in my room a lot. Often a quick trip to the kitchen for a drink I might stay naked. If my mother comes into my bedroom for something, I don't hide myself if I am undressed. So, I guess under some normal circumstances, yes it is normal. It's a Guy Thing to want to be naked, I think.

There was never a problem with nudity between myself and my mom growing up, she often saw me nude in my teens and twenties. I'm in my 50's now, but just the other day she came by for a visit as I was in the kitchen nude, it's normal.

If it's not a sexual thing to him, which it sounds like it isn't, it's fine. Nobody should be forced to wear clothes.
