Is it normal for my penis to stand up completely when erect?

When my penis gets erect it stand almost straight up. When its completely erect 100%, it hurts to pull it down. It restricts me from doing certain positions with my girlfriend and i just wanted to know if its normal?

    Umm... yeah, it standing up is meant to happen and there are plenty of positions that work when a penis is hard. I mean what do you want it to be, floppy? lol

    oh I always like guys that have ones that;point total straight up. I think looks more handsome and strong.
