Is it normal for my partner to go mia?

He will leave for hours but sometimes not come home. If he responds to my attempts to communicate its usually some rude comment. It's almost as if he is doing it on purpose so he has an excuse to not come back, like starting a fight. Tonight he said he was going t the gym five hours ago and he still isn't back. He has blocked my calls and messages. What can I do? Is he cheating?

He does this about once every two weeks. Sometimes weekly. Later acts as if I was so annoying that he had to do it. Otherwise I know where he is like normal and he responds if I call or text.
