Is it normal for my partner to be jealous

My brother has invited me to go with him on a ghost tour. I told my boyfriend and he is not in favour of me going because he is jealous of me going with my brother and not him.

According to him, he asked his ex wife which are still friends (which I am okay with) and his daughter both agree that where ever and I mean where ever I go he must come along.

To add to this story. My brother and I did have a physical fight about 2 years ago which landed me in hospital overnight but we have since moved on from it leaving it all in the past. But my boyfriend cannot forgive.

He always tells me if I tell if the truth he will not be upset but so far he gets upset every time I do tell him the truth and much worse than if I lie.

I am at a lost so any thoughts would be great

    BOTH your BF and your brother have issues.

    1) You can't go anywhere without your BF? What is he, your prison guard? Your master?

    2) However I wouldn't trust your brother either if he put you in the hospital. Why isn't he in jail?

    Run away from that bf as fast as you can!

    He is a contol freak who is also a liar. What women in their right minds would agree that he should accompany you wherever you go?! Bloody liar!!

    It is highly unlikely that your brother would beat you up again on the ghost tour - with other people around.

    However, if I were you I'd go with a better friend than either of the two of them.

    Your boyfriend is both right and wrong. He is right for not trusting you being alone with your brother considering your history, but he's wrong about feeling that he should accompany you everywhere.
