I'm getting married soon, and my mom just doesn't want to accept it. Ever since I was around 11 or 12 she has considered me a lesbian, and doesn't believe me when I say I'm not. I'm very happy in my relationship, but I really think my mom isn't happy with me marrying a man. Is it normal for my mom to want me to be a lesbian?
Oh well she wants you to be a lesbian but you aren't. That is not normal but it's your life so don't worry about what she wants. Maybe she likes women and was never allowed to act on it because of her mom so she wants to give you the chance. Who knows. Just don't worry about it but tell her that she is wrong once and for all.
thats kinda strange peronally i would just want my kids to be happy, maybe she worried on some level taht you are a lesbain and are hiding it from yourself just tell her how happy you are and im sure eventally you will come around
She could be a man-hater or else she had plans for you to look after her in her old age, so doesn't want you to leave. Whatever, her reasons she certainly doesn't want to admit to being wrong.

Thats really strange. Are you sure its not the fact that you're not a lesbian thats bothering her, but maybe because she's totally giving you away to this man? I mean, this is it. You are now gonna be husband and wife. Thats so exciting! Her daughter is getting married!! :) Lots of mothers get emotional when they hear their daughter is getting married! By the way, congratulations!
