Is it normal for my mom to spit at me and call me a cunt?

I'm a teenager. Me and mom don't allways get along. But I know she loves me. Today we got into a heated argument(in the car) over how I think she overreacts and she is mad at me because she thinks im disrespectful.( Which i can be at times. ) I got mad so I slamed the car door then slamed the house door. When I was inside the house my mom came in and follwed me, spit into my face and called me a cunt. We started yelling at each other and she said some very hurtful things like she wished she had an abortion. I called her a bitch. Later after me crying alot and her not caring she came to my room and asked for forgivness. We hugged it out. This isnt the first time this happened. Me and my mom are close but.. i dont know if i can forgive her this time. Has this ver happened to you or anyone you know? Is this normal?

I'm a very nice person and i'm happy most of the time my friends say that i'm the nicest person they ever met(it makes me feel good inside)
My mom is nice but she is allways stressed out with work.
.. please give me your thoughts..

Not normal at ALL. I'm sorry this happened to you, honestly if my mother spit in my face I might punch her- (god forbid) and I love her to death!

I've never had anyone spit in my face. I've never even heard my mom
utter the word vagina let alone cunt. I seriously think I would cry if my mother ever did either of those things to me.

Jesus, no. It's abusive parenting. Maybe i you should consider moving out earlier or - god forbid - report her if she hurts you again worse or with more frequency.

Thanks mister nobody, I know. Still, OP could have been 13 when he/she wrote this. Could still be with an abusive parent. Worth a shot, though.

You have a point. I guess I naïvely imagined that the OP must have been over 18 when he/she wrote this, since nobody would be so morally corrupt as to ignore an age restriction.
