Is it normal for my male friend to joke about having sex with me?

We have been friends for about a year and he is constantly joking about blowing me and has even brought up fucking a couple of times. Tonight he texted me "Do you want to have text sex". I replied "I'm speechless". He replied "You don't have to talk just text", and then before I replied "Cum on, big boy". I then replied "I think I'm scared". He came be back with "oh...okay maybe at a later time". I then changed the subject. We spend a lot of time together and I almost am to the point where I want to see what he says if I go along. I am not gay nor have I ever had any gay sexual encounters. I have gotton off on gay porn a few times. I really do like my friend, but I guess I am scared to see if he is just joking or for real. If I do make a move and he is just joking, It'll be bad in many ways. If he isn't joking....I'm not sure what I would do.

    It seems like he wants you but using the joking side of things as a way to stay friends with you if you reject him.

      Thanks LtDan. Good answer. Kind of what I was thinking as he is a good friend and not likely playing a drawn out cruel joke. It still leaves me wondering what to say next time he says something though.

    Sorry OP but when I was reading this I imagined someone behind you in a dark room screaming "surprise butt sex".

    But who knows, maybe he wants to have sex with you and just want to test the water to see your reaction OR it could be a cruel joke to entice you out of the closet but who knows?

    If he's your friend, then he's your friend. Meaning, just as men and women don't want to ruin a friendship by taking it sexually you shouldn't either. Test your feelings towards another male. If that's what you want, homosexually or bisexuality or maybe you find you're still in the heterosexual cat. then that's how it is. If you are either of the before mentioned, homo/bi, let him know...why not, he's your friend and if truly so, even if he was joking he'd most likely accept you. I've never had those thoughts and consider myself close to a stereotypical black male, yet have a few gay friends that has hit on me in the past and I accepted them. Anyway, DO NOT go to your friends first for this experimental stage.
