I think that men are sexier without hair but it's true that most women would disagree with me. My boyfriend shaves everywhere except his arms and legs and I really like it.

Its normal to "manscape". Lots of men do it and it doesn't mean that they are gay.

  • Hairy people are gross and hairy.

I like growing facial hair, but fuck do I hate body hair. I have a borderline phobia towards it.

Lucky you. I think armpit hair is disgusting on guys.

I shave everything above the knees and it's sexy as fuark because of it. I think it's something that has come from bodybuilding and has dripped into society as men try to become more aesthetic. If you really look at the majority of topless male model photos, 90% of them have no chest hair or armpit hair.

  • It's just his preference. Many guys who play sports shave their legs to deal with chaffing, etc., so why is that feminine?..

I've messes around and shaved body haor with my head shavers a few times but more for myself than anyone. I am hairy generally and I've never had complaints, in fact some women I've been with think that and my deep voice is hot because it's masculine.

On the rare occasion I do shave it all (besides armpits) it does feel and look diff which is okay. I do always shave my pubes outta habit from age 15 though.

'Is this common or is he harbouring a feminine side?' Are you kidding me? Why is it so disgusting to some people that men may possess traits associated with 'the feminine'?

I always contemplated shaving my armpits. One day I may. I mean when I lift up my arm it looks like an 80s porn.

You could just trim it with scissors, it's a lot easier and that way you don't have to go to the extreme of shaving it all off and it still looks natural.

I'm not into it cause I don't like stubble. I guess he doesn't like having body hair. How do you feel about it? I had laser on my lower legs because I hated shaving so much and got tired of waxing. Does he act feminine in other ways?

It's not typical, but it's not feminine.

Nope, she's giving in to a social standard. But if a man chooses to do so even though he's not compelled to it by society... well.

I shave / wax everything except lower arms and hands. Been doing this for almost excatky a year (legs), 4 months (under arms) and 1 month (chest and abdomen). A bit concerned how this will all play out at the beach - don’t want to embarrass my children and wife - but dang what a very liberating feeling!!

Some guys look good with chest hair, others don't. Generally I'd prefer shaved guys, even though most men (including me) are to lazy too do a full-body-shave regularly. xD

I find manscaping weird! I love my fiance's body hair! I even kinda sulked when he shaved his beard off :P

Skin is a lot more smooth and sensitive after a good shave.

Your husband is just trying to look sexy for you and he is trying to attract you more so go with it for a week and see how it turns out but you must talk to him and make him feel like he is the only guy you see and if you don't like when he shave his nipples or any part of his body just tell him that you like him for who he is Good Luck!

Shaving chest hair is more common than armpit hair, I'd say.

Either way, it doesn't matter. Armpit hair can trap the bacteria that causes body odour, so the less of it you have, the less quickly your pits will start to smell bad. In that sense, it's understandable.

I wouldn't concern yourself. It's his body hair to do with as he pleases.

Still it's not understandable. A man smells like that. I know society doesn't like it so much when we men smell like we are supposed to, but taking it so seriously... well.

        How is it not understandable?

I don't shave my armpits but I put on deodorant, because I don't want to stink for as long as possible. And that's not just because of wider society's expectations - I don't like the smell of B.O. You might revel in it and think that the smell is inherently masculine, that's your preference.

We don't know why the OP's husband shaves, that was just a suggestion of a potential benefit. But think about it: we cut the hair on our head, many of us shave the hair on our face, isn't it just an extension of that male grooming? I think it's entirely up to the individual how they choose to deal with the hair on their body.
