We have been married 20 years. And while I admit not always wanting sex like he has. The last six months he has quit asking and tells me no thanks. I even offer the rare partial bj and he says, "no thanks and luv you honey". Is it normal. Is he going through a phase? And yes every thing still works
I know many couples have a diminishing sex life after a long time together.
Just as many still have an active one, though.
Therefor, i doubt there's an universal answer to give here. We don't know your husbands preferences(maybe he's not that much into blowjobs?), maybe thats not a big change(if you had sex once every two month before), maybe there's a history(he had an affair with a collegue years ago)...know what i mean? Maybe he has an awful time at work these days, financial problems and no place in his mind to get into the mood for sex?
We here don't exactly have the insight into your life situation to even begin to guess about he exact reasons and causes for this.
Also, if you never were intimate, how do you know "everything still works" and he has not, for example, erectile dysfunction?
The only thing i can, with good conscience, advise, is to have a talk about this with your husband. Ask him directly about your sex life. Don't be offensive, but do inquire to find what he things about it, or whats the reason for his seeming disinterest.
In either case, sex meds COULD be a solution to your dilemma. Wether his reasoning is mental or physical, they could get you a nice weekend every month or so :)
Another consideration, which comes from personal experience...was there a period of time that you've rejected him when he made moves on you? Personally, I've gone into kind of a "defensive mode" after rejection left me heartbroken. Lost desire basically.
