Is it normal for my husband to be disgusted by my flatulence?

Sorry I agree with dappled. We all fart, shit sneeze burp sleep eat, the lot. What does being male or female have to do with it, and why should it be acceptable for one sex to do it but not the other?

We are all human and your husband should be able to accept that. I'm not married and I pass gas in front of my man all the time. In some situations it should not be happening.... Like during sex or a romantic moment. Other than that he should be able to accept it or you could try some beano or gas x to help control your gas. You two should talk about it and atleast try to meet halfway.

I had the exact experience. I finally confronted him and asked why!! His explanation was : "women are an image of perfection, class and cleanliness. Men are not even close to that! It grosses me out because you are meant to be the epitome of perfection and that bad smell is the contrary of that"

So I went... Oh... Since then I haven't ever done it. Jus be careful some men are extra ok with it but a small minority are not.

What the hell? So girls have to privately fart like they ladies they are? Sometimes I wish I could fast forward time and live a hundred years in the future, maybe then gender equality would be better. (Or worse.)

Not trying to be mean but yea it is really gross when a girl farts. When my guy friends fart I think it's hilarious and we can all laugh about it, but when a girl does it's just awkward and kind of gross at the same time. Not very lady-like. Burping from a girl is the same thing but not as bad as farting. I really don't mean to be rude but it's just the way I feel about it.

My dad gets really mad at me when I fart. He says it's "not becoming of a young lady", and that I need to be more like my mom, who runs to the bathroom when she has to fart. But my mom and brother think my farts are hilarious, so I don't know what my dad's problem is. Must be an older guy thing.

I would normally say that women shouldn't do this in front of their husbands..there's just some things that should be left private, like if you were farting and then Dutch oven-ing your hubby for a laugh..
But it's not applicable if you're not well or can't help it. Then he should say nothing. You have done no wrong. I am such a sleep-farter that I dont like for men to sleep in the same room with me, because it happens all freaking night. I can't help it!

I slept on the couch that night and we talked about it the next day. He said he doesn't know why, but it just bothers him. Lol dappled I take back what I said about your advice giving, what you just said made no sense. That is his opinion so "he should get over himself" WTF!?

Every one feels differently about different things, including women farting. I personally don't think it's ok to do it infront of my man. I think no matter how close you are somethings should be left to when you in your own privacy.
