Is it normal for my husband and me to want him to get a penis implant

My husband has had ED for four years and we both really want to fix that. We have an open marriage but haven't slept with anyone else out of respect for the situation. Also, I prefer guys with large dicks and he's on the small size. We're looking forward to having sex for as long as we want and the procedure will add significant length and girth to his penis. I understand his desire for the procedure but is it normal for me to be as excited as I am?

go as long as we want (her) 0
Getting an erection on demand (him and her) 1
A larger penis - he's only 5 inches erect (her) 1
I can show him off and we can have sex with our friends without embarrassment (him and her) 0
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Same. I didn’t vote bc it’s nonsensical. OP didn’t understand the objective.

What if the surgery doesn't go well? What if the surgery leaves him permanently unable to perform sexually, and or horribly disfigured? If the surgery goes wrong, would you stay true to him, and forsake all others?

You'd probably be better off just taking Viagra.

I'm on Viagra but it doesn't have the desired effect.

See a doctor, then. And I mean a physician, not a surgeon.

5 inches really isn’t that small given the average is 6, you sound like you’re being nasty to him over it.

Why should it be weird for you to want to have penetrative sex with your husband?

The only thing I'd say is that if I were him, I would be very careful when shopping around for a surgeon to carry out the procedure. I looked into this a while ago (not because I have his problem or I'd consider having the procedure done if I did, but as background research for one of my novels), and my impression is that some surgeons tend to over-promise, while others are very careful to explain in detail what can be realistically expected and how things might go wrong.

I'm of a generation where ED is common (and I have it as well), so I understand your situation.

Nothing unusual about desiring to be able to have normal sex... and nothing unusual about desiring to make it more pleasurable for you.

I take it that the various ED drugs did not work. I found that I also had lower than normal Testosterone; and the I needed to raise my Total Testosterone levels to above 700 before the ED drugs would work. I also found that injections every 3 days worked a lot better than every 1 or 2 weeks - and provided a much more steady T level. Not every Dr. is willing to work with shorter than 1 week T injections as its not in the "guidelines" - although there are medical papers that talk that ideally a small dose every day would be best. It's just impractical to do that (and you end up wasting more Testosterone than injecting it due to the unused portion left in the syringe: I know - I tried it).

I'd suggest checking out the Testosterone level and seeing if that would resolve the issue before trying the surgery. While most penile implants work well... there's not much recovery if they don't.

Note that there is a potential side benefit from using Testosterone. It makes the Male infertile while they are taking Testosterone as their natural body production of Testosterone stops - and the natural production of Testosterone is required for the production of viable sperm (the normal Testosterone levels in the testies is much higher than the level in the body - and viable sperm production requires those higher levels). You need to track your HCT levels (blood iron) as well. Over-use of Testosterone may cause unusually high HCT levels (which is controllable by donating blood or by phlebotomy).

I wish you and your husband well with this,

I've now got ED and when this covid panic is over I'm going in for a penile prosthesis. I'm having the three part pump type fitted. Prior to the problem I had about 9" when erect.
