Is it normal for my hair to fall out while washing it?

Whenever i take a shower and get the shampoo or conditioner and scrub my hair, i always get alot of hair on my hands and it just like comes out. Its never 1 or 2 strands but alot, too much to count. They're separate so its not like clumps bit it just seems odd because it happens everynight.

You don't have cancer! I lose more hair in one shower than a lot of men have on their heads, and at age 48 my hairdresser STILL COMPLAINS about how much hair I have. It's totally normal.

Unfortunately its normal for many of us...maybe its just who I know but it seems like thick or curly haired people fair the worst with this issue.

The same thing happens to me. There's always a quarter-sized lump of hair in the drain-catcher-thingy whenever I'm done showering. I'm not sure what causes it, but I do know that mine gets worse with stress.
