Is it normal for my hair to always be like oily?

My hair Always seems oily. I wash it everynight with TRESemme shampoo plus conditioner. I always wash it with that and even some extra conditioner shampoo in the shower but towards the end of the day it starts to become oily and my hair like starts to bunch up in greasey strands. This sound nasty and it is but even like today i wore a hat all day and i took it off to fix my hair and it smelled bad. And i wasnt thinking but i let this friend of mine, she is very pretty, borrow my hat....if she smells it its gonna be real embarassing but i just wanna know if this is normal and is there anything i cna do to fix it..?

Shampoo and only condition half way down not at the roots n make sure you really work in the shampoo at the roots and wash everything out completely

Change your shampoo and conditioner for starters, if it continues go to a hairdresser and ask for her opinion.

Part of the problem is washing your hair every day.

    That might sound paradoxical.

Whenever you wash your hair with shampoo, you strip your scalp of natural oils. In response, your scalp will rapidly make more oil. Do this daily, your scalp programmes itself to produce far more oil than it should really need to in order to make up for what is stripped away.

It's going to be icky for a few weeks (in which case I recommend keeping plenty of hats around), but washing your hair less often will eventually lessen the issue. I used to have the same problem from washing my hair every day, but now I've moved down to only washing it every 2-3 days, it less of a problem than it was.

Alternatively, you could just take out the daily shampooing and (very thoroughly) rinse your hair with warm water. That won't completely strip your hair but it will remove a lot of the excess oil and smell. I do that on days where my hair is a bit too oily but I don't want to shampoo it.

It used to happen to me. Hairdressers can sell you an oil free shampoo and conditioner. My hairdresser told me to use less conditioner (only on the ends, not scalp).

Shampoo brand I use isn't cheap, but it's worth it. Called = System professional clear scalp shampoo. Also has conditioner and hair mask.

I was going to suggest the same thing devilla. The OP is also washing her hair far too often!! As you strip the oil from your hair, you produce more to replace it so the dry shampoo should cover it up ever other day while the body stops the over-production of oils.

Try to stop washing it as often, eg. if you were staying in at the weekend. You might not want to condition it as often too! It will stop being so greasy as you mature.
