Is it normal for my grandmother to say this?

Because of my disability I got severe joint contractures in both my arms and legs. Both only open at a little more than a 90º angle. Anyways a while ago I was at home laying on the sofa watching TV and my grandmother was sitting with me too and out of nothing she says this "When you die your legs will have to be sawed so you fit in the coffin". I was totally what the ... but didn't say a thing and just kept watching my movie. Is it normal to say these things???
