Is it normal for my friends to compare themselves to me?

My friends always compare themselves to me. One has a (unrequited) rivalry with my hair. Another compares his glasses and style. They just overall seem to be in a competition with me. I've had this problem with friends my whole life. I could stop hanging with them, but then I'd have no friends lol

Another thing, they're always trying to pick up on girls I'm clearly interested in! It's annoying, especially since the girls seem to have absolutely no interest in them! I don't do any of these things to them so I don't understand it.

    Sounds like you need a better class of friends who aren't as apt to get so jealous and insecure.

    Well... They are trying to not be the person everyone picks on so they try to make you look easy to bully. YOU MUST FIGHT BACK OR ELSE YOU WILL BE BULLYED!!! Ok? Dont let them. You must prove that your better than them.

    Depends if they know what's going to happen or if they're just curious to know how all of you are individuals. My friends always compare our hair color: Oh! Mine looks like a lighter brown than yours! I never knew that.
    ...Like that?
    Or like: Hey! What type of girls do you like (In mind: I might like them, too, if you tell me)!
    You: *tell them*
    Friend: Alright! I gotta go!

    Hey there! Wanna go out?
    Girl: No.
    Friend: *cries miserably* Didn't work... I think I'm worse than (OP's name)...

    In my experience, I don't think it's normal. But then again, I am very picky with whom I befriend lol. Perhaps your personality draws these people towards you, or maybe it's time to find a new sub-group to hang out with, idk

    It's annoying because I just want to be myself and do things that make me feel good, but it sometimes feels like I shouldn't feel good about myself because it just creates competition. I don't want to compete with my f'n friends.
