Is it normal for my friend to keep giving me these mixed signals?

I'm a guy and one of my best friends is a girl. She use to tell me we are nothing more than friends but lately I've been noticing random signals that she likes me more than just friends. Just things girls do when they like someone. And she just acts different around me now. sometimes shel says things to me that people wouldn't usually say to their friends as well. Then she could say something to make me think were just friends again? She also wants to hang out all day everyday. Its really confusing me. I'm getting so much mixed signals its not funny.this all started after she had her second child the father left her when she found out she was pregnant. I helped her through the whole thing (except the birth haha) and our friendship grew after that So is it normal for girls to do this to their friends? and what do you guys think? does she like me more than a friend and being shy about it? Or just getting really comfortable with me as a friend. Help I'm totally lost I do like her a bit but I could also just stay friends if that's what she wanted. The whole thing confusing the fuck out of me please help
