Is it normal for my friend to be controled by another person?

Ok, So my friend is being controlled by an apparent "enemy" of mine. I put quotations because I never did anything wrong he just doesn't like me. So one day I was hanging out with him and suddenly my enemy tells him if he keeps hanging out with me, He wont be his friend anymore. What I don't get is why he goes to him instead of me. He used to be really cool but now he just annoys me just because "He said so". IIN? and what can I do?
