Hi I have a family who are not nudists but tend to walk around nude say after a shower and sometimes they can be fully bare and go right up to me what I want to know though is this a norm in other families???
It is normal if you want it to be, my family are like it, we very rarely wear clothes around the house, we are a large family, mum, dad, me (30 have moved out now), 2 brothers 19 & 22 and 3 sisters 19, 25 & 26, we are very open about most things we have doors on our rooms but they never get shut. Normal is just what you are used to.
That's totally normal, my family is like that too. It's normal to be open with your family, mine for one has always been open with one another. Like sure we all still have our privacy, but if you wall across the house to get your panties, and other stuff, not a big deal. Don't listen to the others, them saying "it's weird" has a lot to do with being uptight, prudish and insecure. Humans ran around naked for a good long time, and clothing and hiding yourself has only really been a huge issue (in western culture at least) in the last two or so generations. So yes, you and your family are totally normal, walking around naked in the privacy of your own home is totally acceptable, not a "problem" (:
If all your family does it and they all think its fine - then yes, its normal.
I think its great that your family feels comfortable around each other to do that. Lucky.
Hehe thanks for the comments and such yeah i dont think it as abnormal for it has went on throughout my life for quite a while its just i was wondering if this was a rare case and just a note i am probably the only one who doesnt go around openly like that though my brother kind of does but only with the parents and such not in front of me lol. well thanks everyone for the comments and anyone else who may in the future :3
Yes it is normal because you guys are all family and feel comfortable with it. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks outside of your family. If you don't feel as comfortable as they do just put on a blindfold while you're home. Lol.
well its normal its not very diffrent in fact u would be suprised how many ppl suffer from this problem.
That is not normal well at least not me. My family and I give each other privacy. I would feel uncomfortable if my mom or dad walked out of there room naked well I'm eating cerel or watching t.v. I'll repeat it again. That is Not normal.
Being naked around others doesn't mean you are having sex with them. Once you see the opposite sex, you have seen it all. Enjoy your life with or without clothes.
I think its totally normal but probably not that common. Growing up my family was never like that except we used to shower with dad on rare occasion or takes baths with my brothers but that stopped when i was like 5. however now that i have a wife and child we are like your family. we never get dressed in the bathroom. my wife stands in the hallway casually looking through the wardrobe in the nude. we never lock the bathroom door (except when i am taking a dump). We walk in on each other often. we sleep nude and I often hang around the house nude. I usually don't put on any clothes until i have to go out. my son is only 16 months, he insists on watching us as we shower- he loves the water and in the mornings we all play together in the nude until we get out bed. i read a lot about it most people think it is very healthy and helps the child develope a healthy body image and makes talking about things a lot easier. maybe when he gets older i will start wearing boxers around the house but i don't think immediate families should be ashamed or embarassed about seeing each other nude.
If I could, I would, because I wouldn't care if people were comfortable with it. However, if people are made uncomfortable by this, then it's better to just cover up - you know, just to be polite xD
Seriously though, I don't find it weird. If my whole family were like me, they'd probably do the same as your's. Then again...maybe I'm just weird.
Dude its totally normal my fam is the same and my mom is a 42 year old milf so its pretty cool
I keep telling my wife that I want to be a nudist all the time. She’s confused because on one hand she enjoys it a lot and says go ahead and is topless fairly regularly, but then is concerned about daughter, but then makes absolutely no effort to create any private time separate. In some sense it’s impossible to create that kind of privacy in a household. Waiting all day for 30-60 seconds before bed is pitiful, so I don’t care for accusations about kids will be damaged without and evidence or support from anybody.
I am now age 66 and when being raised by mom with sister I sometimes would be nude around them. I am a male and last Oct. I visited my mom for a month and when at her house I was nude and she did say it was ok.
it's normal and cool. nothing wrong with being naked and not being embarased about it. nudity is not sexual- it's only our embarassment (Shame) that makes it sexual. Actually it's good. it helps separate the concept of nakedness and sexuality.
My family is very private, especially my 14 year old sister. I would like to be like your family when I have my own. It would make you more comfortable with each other and make it easier to talk about private things.
My family are much the same, we spend a lot of time naked not just to be naked but getting clothes from the drier, going to and from the bathroom, shareing rooms on holiday. It just becomes normal. I will say my mum does spend most of her time at home naked but she likes to be.
Um, completely normal. My family is comfortable with our bodies. My dad and I weather we are sunbaking nude, or just relaxing, we have a great time. As do I with my mum and brothers. My brother sees my breasts and vagina a lot, it's normal, your FAMILY.
Comfort over societal norms, man. I don't see a problem with it, I doubt I'm gonna change my habits when I have a family, and they'll be more openminded, less afraid of their bodies and aging, and less likely to harbor bad thoughts or feelings about sex. :) nudity becomes a casual thing so fast it's unreal, because there's nothing abnormal about being how nature intended
I don't know some of the questions you just can't call out normal or not normal....

If it makes u uncomfortable, just tell them, but if they still insist, then i wish you all the best.

Not really normal, but pretty harmless in my experience (a close friend's family is like this)
Well its nice to be casual & comfy to a degree but when it makes family uncomfortable speak up. Lots of people just assume something they are OK with must naturally be OK for everyone else. Anyway, seems they can deal with the bare facts ...
If thats what they like to do, i guess it isnt hurting anyone, its kinda funny tho :p
i say embrace your family's weirdness in this case, sometimes the only way to get over something is to learn to find amusement in it.
Honestly, I'm okay with the idea but it isn't the norm. With age, little shit like nudity becomes quite bland and loses it's appeal as life goes on.
