Is it normal for my family to swim naked?

Of all the families I've known, I have yet to meet one who does as your family does. Still, even with six degrees of separation and all that, there are bound to be stats on this. My money is on normalcy ratings being higher in Europe.

I wouldn't say it is normal but not weird. Hell, if I could swim naked all the time, I totally would!

It's not common, but that doesn't mean it's not acceptable.
I think it's normal, but not common in North America. There is nothing perverted about it, so don't worry about it. So your family's not a bunch of conservative prudes; be proud.

I've gone swimming, naked, with my older sister in her pool at home many times. Easier than wearing a suit (for me) or bikini (obviously, for her). We're fine, and very free with it, and there's nothing like it. We've sometimes started off with our suits on, but peeled them off shortly thereafter.

Stopped by one afternoon and she was laying out on the deck, looking amazing in a tiny, black bikini, and I wanted to jump in the pool to cool off. She said "Wait, let me take this off, I'll come in with you", so, right there, on the deck, we both disrobed and dove in. No questions or oh, we're naked..Just got naked and hit the cool water.

It's strange to do so with your family. I have gone skinny dipping with many people but I'd rather stab myself in the eyes with red hot pokers before I saw my parents naked.

I think it's weird I don't swim naked, the only time I will do that is when Iam with the pension iam dateing

We did not have are own pool but when on our family holiday we would swim naked when on quite beach or naturist beach even with other members of the family come with us if they want to as mum would say we are all the same

She's done that, fairly often..Always interested about the "hard under water" concept.. I'll be doing backstrokes, and she'll take hold, as it's "right there, up in the air".. It's funny.

We've joked around, ass-slapped, and so forth, all in fun, but no "sex in the water" type stuff.. It's just very relaxed and free..

its normal and I agree about wearing clothes swimming, me and bf always go into hotels hot tub totally nude whether its empty or there are people in it. worst thing that happened was that we were =asked to go back to room once

Sounds like you got a private pool where you can skinny dip as much as you like and I think a lot of people do that. But to go skinny dipping in a public swimming pool would be a different story. I'd love to do that one day, but so far I haven't heard of any public pools that allow for it (altough there are some that allow for topless swimming).

Although unconventional, completely normal. In fact, my family was the same way growing up --- we never grew up with the whole nudity taboo.

Well, maybe not common, but not abnormal either. The whole feeling weird not being naked in water thing, though... it's no more weird wearing a swimsuit in water than it is wearing clothes in air.

It's not common but there's nothing wrong with it if you were brought up that way. It would be strange if all your life you wore swimsuits then one day while in your teens your dad says "Lets swim naked!" Then there's something wrong.

I wouldn't go so far as to say whether or not it's "normal", because I've never heard of such a thing before. To me, it is rather odd, and I find it quite disturbing. I am a visual person, need I say more?! Good thing Alaskans don't swim much in pools, or otherwise, because you have ruined it for me eternally!!! WTF??? WRONG, it's just WRONG!
