My brother is a dick but he doesnt threaten me. Tell your parents your going to burn his stuff or cut someone if they dont stop him. Or, fend him off with a chair or something. Always have something to defend you within arms reach.

Speak with your school counselor. The counselor and your parents can arrange a meeting. Maybe your parents will take the issue more seriously if another adult brought it to their attention.

Even if the insults still go on, don't listen to him. Its hard, but do whatever you can to store whatever he says away. One day, you'll see how those insults made you stronger.

If you want to get your parents attention, the next time he hits you, call the police. When I was in your position when I was younger, someone told me to call the police because that is assult and battery.

I did, the police took me seriously (because at times I was really scared my sister was going to kill me), and she was sent to juvie. My mom then finally took notice and once she came back, she protected me from her.

Tell another adult of authority that you know like a teacher or a therapist. Also, I think you should stop talking about music with him since a lot of the situations you mentioned were over a disagreement in musical tastes.

Absolutely not - this is NOT normal sibling interactions. Threatening you with a knife? Not normal, and not acceptable. I really wish I had some advice, but it's such a difficult situation - you might not want to tell your parents how serious it is if you're afraid of him retaliating, and the police would want proof, etc. Maybe talk to a school counselor or someone who is in a position to give you advice?

It is NOT normal, and while no one should have to deal with this it is particularly horrendous that this happens in your house, where you should be able to feel safe.

It's normal I have 3 busies on my inner leg by my knee from his hand and a bruise on my arm by my hand from my brother trying to pull me out of a car 2 weeks ago and my mom was in the drivers seat laughing

I think it's pretty normal. I had the exact same thing with my brother. The only explanation we found was he had ADHD and couldn't help but get aggressive maybe your brother does too
