Is it normal for my boyfriend to talk to a guy i went on 3 dates with?

I work with both of these guys. One I've only known for 2 weeks and we went on a few dates and we never made anything official, but I told him I don't think we could date for a few reasons. Within the next few days I was talking to one of my best friends and we happened to realize we have feelings for each other. I've known him for 6 months and we also work together and now we are in a relationship. My boyfriend wants to talk to the other guy that I went out with a few times and tell him and that we didnt plan on it happening but it did etc. I'm not sure if this will just make things worse or not but I still want to be friends with the guy. I definitely don't want things to be worse. But the guy will probably find out about my boyfriend if he doesn't know already, things spread like crazy at work. Is it normal for my boyfriend to talk to this guy or should he just leave it be?

    I find sitting on the can to be peaceful and I can think better. A good dump will clear your mind
