Is it normal for my boyfriend to call me fat when i'm not?
Before you read this, no, he is not abusive towards me. He's a very loyal, trustworthy, caring guy.
Ever since we got together (a year ago), he has always called me fat. It hasn't really bothered me. I think he started calling me fat because I used to eat a lot, I actually called myself fat, and I'm not nearly as strong as him (he used to power lift 230 pounds and is a little surprised that I can barely pick up 25 pounds, or perhaps he's just joking).
I have always found it cute when he calls me fat. When he calls me fat, I don't imagine myself as a fat person, but just as my normal self, or as an obese guinea pig, or whatever animal we may be talking about. We like to send pictures of animals to each other (I actually got him to like guinea pigs, rats, hedgehogs, etc.), and one of the animals is fat and the other one is normal size. Usually, they're exaggerated sizes of us.
I'm 5'4" and weigh 120 pounds but I have been gaining some weight lately (not purposely), and he's also 5'4" and weighs about 130-135 pounds. So really, we're both pretty normal weight, although my cousin has said that I look anorexic, but I eat normally.
So, what do you think? Is it normal for him to call me fat when I'm not?
