Is it normal for my boyfriend to always be right?

Whenever my boyfriend and I would get into a fight, it'd always be my fault. Not like, he'd turn the tables. It's like, he's always the one to get mad at me. He gets mad at me for something, and gets mad for days, or weeks, just for a long time. When I get mad, for one of the SAME REASONS, it's still somewhat my fault.. and it just took it out on him.. When I try to talk to him about this, since we do rather have good communication skills (well.. usually.) He just says he didn't do anything, and gets mad. He's not controlling, or a bad guy, he's definitely extremely smart and such. Am I just dumb, or does he refuse to be wrong? Whenever I'm 100% right, and we BOTH know it, he still somewhat doesn't take it until, he's completely cornered. Especially since.. we both refuse to be wrong.

    Oh dear, that took me back many decades: my late ex husband was EXACTLY like that and like him, your boyfriend is a control freak. Intelligence has nothing to do with it, by the way, except that an intelligent control freak is harder to deal with in my opinion.

    What sort of things to do fight about and how much fighting do you actually do? It sounds tedious and pointless and boring to me, which were some of the reasons I got out of that marriage.

    If you're the only one he fights with and vice versa, I hope you never have children to be around all this fighting. The fact that you both "refuse to be wrong" makes me think you're both getting and unable to agree to disagree: maybe you're both gettingsomething out of these fights?

    If you see no signs he'll ever change and you can't live with this, then it would be dumb of you to continue the relationship.

    Not to be -too- harsh, but he sounds like the very definition of "little bitch." He needs to man up and realize he doesn't have to be Captain Correct every once in a while.

    Oh, one of those guys that thinks their "shit don't stink"? These people tend to be delusional and hard to live with because they have too much pride. I don't care who you are, nobody is right all the time. It will likely take a reality check before he'll ever change.
