Is it normal for my best friend to be really mean?

Kay so my best friend will say really mean things about me and my other best friends and she always thinks she's the best and the boss and all that stuff. It really gets on a lot of people's nerves
None of my other friends do that! IIN?

It sounds like she's not really much of a friend. Do yourself a favor and either tell her how you feel about it, or just go your separate ways. I can't imagine feeling comfortable in the company of someone who treats me like crap all the time, and acts like they're 'the boss'. Find a new friend. Think over what true friendship really is. There's no reason for people to treat other people like that whether you're best friends or not. She'll never be appreciated for a bad attitude.

She sounds like a horrible person. However, insulting others is probably just her defense mechanism. What I mean is that it's possible that she insults others first so that they won't insult her at first sight, thus she feels better about herself. Try talking to her and see what goes on in her life. Her insults could be a cry for help as sad as it sounds.
