Is it normal for my best friend and i to talk so much everyday?

My best friend, whose a girl (I'm a guy) and I talk every single day. It's like an all day everyday kind of thing. Like we text each other and then late at night it's usually msn. She occasionally calls me, normally a few times a week. I can honestly say it's been this way for about 6 months now and I don't really want it to change. To be honest I'm afraid of that day when we don't talk at all comes.

I'm wondering if it's normal for us to talk so much? And also if it's normal to be a little scared sometimes when there is the odd day she doesn't talk much?

    Me and my best friend(I'm a guy and she's a girl) used to talk everyday just like u, we couldn't go one day without talking to each other. And I knew she always had a huge crush on one of my friends, she used to talk about him all the time. And in January they started going out, right after that we stopped talking for a few months and now we barley talk compared to how we use to talk, we still care about each other and love each other but...it's not the same. Talk to her about it and cherish the time u guys have cause u never know when it might go away

      That really sucks, I feel for you on that one because it's happening to me right now. Slowly I can feel us starting to drift apart and it just doesn't feel the same anymore. How did you deal with not talking to her nearly as much?

        Not talking to her just drove me into a deep depression, and I couldn't take it so one day I told her how I felt and how Ive been feeling since we stopped talking. She almost instantly started to cry and kept telling me she's sorry. And I just hugged her and told her it's ok and I love her. Now we talk again but it's not like we use to. I need to talk to her again. That's the best advice I could give anyone in this situation, just talk it out and hopefully everything should b ok.

    I personally don't see the issue. I do this all the time with my guy friend, and neither of us have an issue with it. As long as you don't lead her on, your fine :) why can't guys and girls be best friends?
