Is it normal for my 15-year-old cousin to never have been on a date?

My younger cousin is 15 years old and has been very depressed lately, claiming that she will be "forever alone"--she has never been kissed or even asked out on a date before. I try to tell her that she's not alone in her disappointment, but I wonder: how normal is it for a 15-year-old girl to have never been asked out on a date before?

    Im 24, never been on a date. Dont mean to sound egotistical, but I feel I have it worse.

    Im 18 and have never even kissed a girl im still not worried about being forever alone.

    Seriously? 15? The guy I'm dating never kissed a girl until he was 19 years old. 19!

    It's really hard to be 15, I remember. But she has no idea what will happen in the next five years, let alone the next 90. Will she change her college major? Buy a car? Change her hair color? Join the Army? Be in a band? Go to Paris? Break the law? Learn to speak Chinese?

    Maybe she'll do it all, but she needs to remember she has no sure way of ever knowing. Besides, people are still figuring out who they are at her age and she deserves to do the same. The bigger problem seems to be the lack of self worth.

    Yeah most of these guys, if not all said it. Never had a date and im 19. Pretty normal. The depressed part is just an unfortunate bonus.

    It's not the end of the world. These things come with time, and it's about quality of your relationships not the quantity.
