Is it normal for migraines to come back?

Well, I've had migraines ever since I can remember... they had only gotton worse and more often over the years and finally it was so bad that I was in pain everyday.
long story short I had my family doctor exam this lump on the back of my neck that I am convinced is a tumor and was causing my pain. She said it is a thick muscle or tendon but I disagree and I had a CT done. That scan came back clean but idk if they scaned where my neck meets my skull (that is where the lump is) or just my brain.
Any way.. for about a year now I have been taking 20 mg of Propranolol at bedtime and it has dramatically helped. I went form a migraine 5 to 6 times a week to having them once or twice a month. I have been so greatfull for this!!!
But here lately Ihave had them every day again for about the past three weeks and idk what to do... I am allmost 17 so I know that I could still be growing and stuff so Could that make my meds just stop working? And.. Should I call my doctor? because my next appt isn't for like 6 months.. Should I hold out and hope they start working again? Idk...

I really am thankfull for any help! And feel free to share any of your experiences!

It would be reasonably uncommon (but not impossible) to have a tumour where yours is. If you are still worried about it, do continue to seek medical attention. But I don't feel your doctor has misled you here.

As for migraines I was a sufferer too (as is my mother). She used to be worse than me but we've both had them to the point where we were nearly blind and bed-bound for days. Neither of us suffer them any more (apart from very rarely) and that's solely down to working out the triggers. In the case of my mother and I, there were food triggers. Common ones include caffeine, chocolate, cheese, alcohol, fruit, nuts, potato products, bread, cakes, artificial sweeteners, and loads of artificial colours and food additives.

Keep a food diary and a migraine diary. It's the best way to spot patterns. I cut out caffeine completely (which helped) cut aspartame out apart from on rare occasions (also helped) but what helped most of all is not eating combinations of trigger foods and not eating foods that are super-triggers. There's a certain famous brand of mushroom soup that is an absolute no-no for me.
