Is it normal for men to shave their armpits?

So i asked my guy friend if he shaves his armpits (out of curiosity) and he got all defensive like i was questioning his manhood. Is it normal for guys to save parts of their body other than the face? What is your opinion ?

    I don't shave my armpits, I imagine the hair grows there for a reason so taking it away is presumably slightly bad for me somehow. Rubbing or something.

    Anyway it would be a massive effort to shave them all the time, and nobody seems to mind.

    I shave my armpit hair, also my pubic hair. I just hate hair in both of those regions, kinda sickens me.

    its feminine to shave bodily hair its manly to have hair god created man to be hairy and sexy shaving its feminine and itchy forget it

    It doesn't make him girlie or anything. Most guys trim if they have excessive hair. If it makes you feel any better, men have been shaving their bodies since Ancient Egypt.
