Is it normal for men to pee sitting down?

I dont like to because my penis touches the actual inside of the toilet.

My guy does because I make him clean the bathroom and he says it sure makes for a lot less cleaning.

Supposedly, this is very common among Germans. There is a quote in the King James Version of the bible regarding "He who pisseth against the wall" or something like that. While it may be seen as a bit effiminate, it certainly is cleaner, potentially. He may find he is able to get more urine out standing up, though...

Not just normal - sanitary. What's your issue? He knows how to piss in other positions, there's all sorts for guys. He's just being hygienic.

I pee sitting down; it's nice to relax, plus it doesn't make a mess. One the other hand, we're potty training our daughter so if she sees me peeing standing up, she'll want to do the same thing.

I know a guy who pees sitting down, only at home, because it make less of a mess.

PEEING SITTING DOWN IS CLEANER AND MORE RELAXED AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO SMELL THAT URINAL THING IN PUBLIC THEY TURN ME OFF. IT IS NOT A BIG BOY THING IT IS SOCIETY THAT SAYS MEN NEED TO PEE ON THEIR FEET. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH TOILETS FOR MEN EITHER.

I pee sitting down 1/2 the time. I think some comments on here are wacked. Yes I hate it sometimes because my penis dangles in the water, but I'm relaxing, so usually have to hold it out of the water while I sit. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, sit if you want to relax, stand if you don't. I always think about that Dave Chappelle skit with Charlie Murphy telling the new white roomate that when he uses the toilet, he needs to make sure he's sitting down.

As a girl if I were to see a man doing this I wouldn't think it was normal at all. But when I was potty training my son I taught him to sit down and pee and when he got older told him to stand cause that's what big boys do.

Can't say normal, but it's more common than we might think. I was trained to pee standing and aim for the middle of the water. My dad, my uncles, my male cousins, and my male friends all pee the same way. I've tried sitting many times, and can't knock it. It's convenient in the middle of the night when you don't want to turn on the lights and fully wake up. I really enjoy when I hear my pee stream blast the water, and like when others can hear me pee, too.

I keep a rag handy and wash the rim of the toilet and the surrounding floor each time I pee. It only takes 15 seconds, and there is never any smell in my bathroom.

It aint his fault that he can't aim. Its just to long.

I pee sitting down because it is cleaner, and more convienient. If I'm in a public bathroom or somewhere I'm not comfortable, I stand though i dont like standing. I don't bind myself with all the stupid "Big Boy" laws that men are supposed to follow, I do what I want. I also make guys who use my bathroom sit, if they stand and get urine on the seat or floor, they're cleaning my toilet.

that is weird no i dont think its normal, i've never heard of a man that does unless they're under 3 and just getting potty trained lol. and i would think it would be hard to pee while sitting down if you have a penis
