Is it normal for men to love a woman who cooks?

I never used to cook at all. In the last 2 years I've basically taught myself and now love cooking and making up recipes in the kitchen. I hardly ever make the same thing twice and my husband is in heaven. He and all his friends rave about the cooking. His friends tell me they wish their wives and or girlfriends cooked for them even just a tiny bit. I used to abhor the "Suzy homemaker" label but honestly these guys can't stop talking about it since I started, and it was only because I wanted healthier food, was bored, and had no money to be getting takeout all the time. It seems men love a woman who feeds them. Is this true?

I prefer a woman who can cook 11
I don't care if she can cook at all 4
I wish my woman would cook 1
I want to do the cooking for my woman (or partner) 1
I would love for her to cook but would never ask her to 6
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I'm not a very good cook, but I can make things edible, and I like to experiment with things that are just laying around the house. I don't have a lot of money to buy fresh groceries with, that's the only thing that sucks. Hopefully I will have a large garden going this next spring though, and that will make up for it.

Last night I made a cheesy potato soup concoction. Browned diced onions in butter in a big pot, added diced potatoes and carrot and covered with water, let cook down until mushy -soft and mash with masher in the pot, add the sauce packs from one box of au gratin taters and one box of scalloped taters, add cheese or velveeta to melt, when mixed well add dryed potatos from boxes, let absorb, salt and pepper to taste. TADAH! Nearly instant food. :D

I think anything likes anything that feeds it. It's like when you get a new pet and you're trying to get it to like you. If you give it treats, it comes to like you more. I definitely like people who feed me lol

It's really sexy for your woman to cook for you.

I'd rather cook myself. That way I can poison her whenever I'm too chicken to break up. Mua-ha-ha!!!

Both. Although mostly savory. I love to use olives, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, saffron, turmeric, curries, and everything with salsas and marinaras.

      • moussaka ,dolmades? saffron does it just color or does it impart a flavor, do you put fruits with your middle eastern fare?

I wish I could cook dolmades and moussaka!!! Ill have to try. Saffron is so cool. If you boil jasmine rice then add turmeric and a good pinch of saffron while it cooks it infuses the rice with a very earthy scent and taste. I got the idea through ayruvedic medicine. It's tasty stuff and extremely easy. Try it out and wow someone !!

I'd sooner be with people who either can't cook or don't want to because I enjoy it self. I don't mind sharing it if someone else enjoys it, but I'd hate it if I never got to cook.
