I am/was a male until I realized I was not fitting in. I soon discovered that being female was very comfortable for me. I want to be anatomically correct. I like women as friends but I enjoy men as dating companions.
Yes. It's normal. Sometimes, we're just born the wrong gender so we need to undergo Male-to-Female and Female-To-Male sex reassignment surgery.
just because you get on well with women and date men, doesnt mean you should slice yourself up to try to fit in more! im sure your friends love you as you are. dont try to fit into categories put there by norms
Go see a therapist before you decide something you might regret later on :-p

Wow, people are assholes here, I'm so sorry. Of course it's normal, if this is something you really feel strongly about they'll put you into counseling first to talk with someone and make sure it's truly what you want to do.
Then hormone replacement therapy, then reassignment surgeries whenever you can afford them. I used to live with an FTM transgender, they've gotten everything except the genital reconstruction because it's much more difficult and expensive to do FTM reassignment.
