Is it normal for me to want to live with him?

So my best friend and I have been talking a lot about the future recently. He is a year older than I am and he is leaving school in a couple months and getting a job. We are super close and I love him a lot. Only thing is, he has been talking about moving into a flat of his own as soon as possible and we have talked about me living with him. I know it must sound immature, but as he is a guy and I'm a girl, is it normal for me to want to live with him, even though we're just teenagers?

It's normal. It's fun too. When I was younger I had two guy friends that had an apartment together, and I lived with them for a while. It wasn't a big deal to me. My parents were a little bit concerned, but now I'm back with them until I graduate High School :b
Haha when I say "when I was younger", it makes me sound old, but I'm just older than before xb

I would talk to him, ask if he likes you or if you're just friends. If your doing this to make sure the living situation would be comfortable he will understand! I have roomed with a very beautiful woman before and there was no awkwardness at all! We were just friends and kept it that way.

Hell if you talk to him about it he may just come out and say he likes you! What would you do then?

I'll talk to him, but I'm honestly sure he won't.

If he did? Well I guess I'd maybe try to introduce him to a pretty friend of mine and hope they'd get along? I don't know.. xD

My point in asking, is just wondering is that a guy you would consider dating, because if not you really need to find out his intentions before you move in. If he likes you and you try and bring another guy home, you cannot imagine the level of awkwardness that would ensue! And if he is genuinely just friends, it would be no problem at all!

And as for the pretty friends, feel free to send one my way! ;) lolz j/k

Yeah I see your point :), well I'll definitely ask him about it ( but maybe nearer the time)as it is around a year away before it is possible :P

Ya i'd wait till closer to the time, since by then the whole situation might have changed anyways! ( I tend to be a procrastinator) lolz

Have you considered that maybe he likes you? It's pretty common. If he likes you then you living with him in a one bedroom would be hard on the guy if he's in the friends zone. Kind of like he wants to escape and get it over with, and you coming could be a problem. That's only if he's not cool with the idea though, if he thinks you should move with him, I would still keep in mind he might have the hots for you

Well we have discussed things like that, and at one point we did like each other.. but both of us have agreed that we didn't have feelings for each other any more and continued to be close friends. I know how it must sound, but I really don't think we could be this close if one of us secretly liked the other, especially as we tell each other everything (we honestly never shut up haha) but I get what you mean, thank you :)

I prefer living with someone I know over complete strangers (i.e. dorms)

But are you talking about it for economical reasons (moving out anyway, save $ on rent), for the location (closer to school/work) or just for the heck of it? Bc if you don't have a reason, why move out at all? Save the rent money for something you will actually NEED.

Those are both decent reasons to consider living together :-) bc trust me, rent + groceries + utilities + school payments get expensive FAST!

I'd say it's normal. If you have a genuine connection with someone then I don't see why not. My friends and I have actually discussed living together while attending community college after high school. I can empathize with you about wanting to live with someone you connect with.
