Is it normal for me to hate myself for loving someone I know will hurt me? Its like a zit you keep scratching at till it bleeds. I swear I can't stand heartache but every time I get someone and I fall in love with them I end up getting devastated.

yeah, don't worry, i know if this is a girl, you may not take my advice as legit cause i'm a guy, but see, i gone through it every single time after this one girl who broke my heart (see my history on this site if you want.) hell, i'm two weeks in and i'm still beating myself up about getting into this relationship even though i'm really into this girl. i mean, when someone's hurt you, you really tend to start worrying a lot about these things. so best of luck, dude(tte), many well wishes for your happiness on my behalf.

Yeah I think it's normal, I do the same damn thing but I'm so bad that it makes me afraid of trying relationships at all now cause I'm afraid to start something that never seems to get anywhere. Try not to let it get to that point, I should take my own advice but alas.
