Is it normal for me to fall for her

Ok now I really want to know if this is normal or not. I am a student living in india. I have a close female friend who was my classmate in school in Oman. She migrated to Canada four years back. I finished my schooling in Oman and came to India. Since I was a very shy guy, I never really knew her when we were in school.

3 years back, she reconnected with me on facebook. Only through fb interactions and chats we really came close and really special for each other. We used to enjoy each other's company. Recently she even called me from canada. It was so nice talking to her on the phone rather than on chats.Now the thing is that I am having a huge crush on her. I tried to avoid having feelings for her except as friends, but its not happening. I never shared my feelings for her. I have a doubt she had a crush on me,though I am not sure about it now.I will never share my true feelings with her, because a relationship with her is impossible on many grounds. But my desperation for her is increasing. Please help me. I want to avoid a relationship but not lose my special friendship with her, because she is just so awesome.

    yeah even i think so. We cant stay away from msgin each other for long. idk if i will ever meet her or whether we will be like this forever, but i know one thing, She is one of the most beautiful people i have ever met!!:)
