Is it normal for me to be this angry over this?

I wasn't sure where to categorize this, sorry if it's in the wrong place.):

I get hot very easy, so I have a standing fan that I keep pointed at me at all times when I'm in my room so I don't overheat. I used to keep it so it was oscillating, but one day I got so mad at something my grandmoms(I call them my moms) said, that I punched it and it fell over and started to make this ticking sound. It was very loud and constant and I literally beat the shit out of my fan to try and get it to stop. I was so crazed that I didn't even think to turn it off, and eventually I just stood with my hands over my ears and cried until one of my moms came in and turned it off for me. All I could hear was the ticking and this high pitched ringing sound in my ears, and it was driving me nuts. I was shaking, hyperventilating, and I felt like a crazy person.

Is this even remotely normal...? Does this happen to anyone else? ):

  • You may have some angry issues.
I think it would be good idea to seek some therapy.
Not trying to be mean or anything.

Or it could just be some hormones
and a lot of held back rage.
    Sometimes people can just snap
and have to let out all the rage.

It's good you didn't let it out on a person,
but too bad for your fan.

    What's interesting is that
something like this also happened to me.
I was having a stressful time in my life
and I just got so mad that I kicked my fan.
Luckily I did not break it, but still.

I've learned to control my anger a bit better
    since I've grown and matured.

ABSOLUTELY normal, nothing to worry about - providing you had been eating yokes, snorting codeine and drinking whiskey constantly for the previous 3 days.

If not, invest in a punchbag or even ear plugs so you can't hear what anyone is saying.
By the way I've reported you to the ISPCEF (International Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Electric Fans). You'd wanna get your story straight quick smart!

Maybe not the most COMMON thing in the world but it's certainly becoming more so, and it's certainly normal. Sounds to me like an acute case of panic anxiety. I have it too but that sounds like a really rough episode. I usually just end up punching a wall or unable to move for a while because I'm hyperventilating so badly.

See if your family will agree to help you get to a therapist. I say a therapist because a lot of people will choose first to go to a psychiatrist, when I tried that this dude talked to me for maybe 10 minutes and tried to put me on a medicine that isn't even used to treat anxiety, it's for bipolar and schizophrenia. Might have just had the bad luck of seeing a quack, but I feel medication should only be perscribed after in depth evaluation, and you won't get that from a psychiatrist.

I don't think that you are crazy. I think that you were annoyed and bored and wanted to punch something.

It wasn't the heat. When I heard the ticking noise the fan was making, that's when I lost it.

I've never heard of anything like it. But you should probably talk to someone about it.

When I tried, I was told to calm down and no one took me seriously.

I understand it. Have wanted to beat the crap out of an OLD tv that used to have knobs to change the station. The channel knob broke and I was trying to use needle nose plyers to change the station. Wasn't working. I got angry and threw the plyers at the wall. It made a hole. But I didn't stand there and cry.

Yes, fan noise is noise pollution, and it can drive you crazy.
In many places, it has become ever present.
You would think, that with all of our high technology, that someone could design a noiseless or near noiseless HVAC system.
