Is it normal for me to be botherd by what my friend says?

Alrightio one of my best friends and I work at a Wal-Mart as cart pushers. I have known him for over four years now and he is a nice guy, though at times he can be kinda of a jerk in a funny sort of way, he likes to poke fun at me at times, such as blaming me for silly things sometimes, which i normally don't take seriously since its ridiculous.

However yesterday he said something that kinda pissed me off. Around 10:30pm last night he gave me a call asking where the key to one of our old cartmanagers (the machine that we use to help use push carts we have one new and one old one). Well I told him what happened and how I had to use a spare key since the old key was nowhere to be found.

Well after that explanation he asked me if He could kinda blame me for what happened to the old key. When he said that I kinda got a little pissed so i politely told him "No you may not" which prompted me to explain to him that I did use the old key the previous day but when i was done with it i had put it back where it properly goes. He then said" I see well that's a good cover up story" to which I said to him "It's not a cover up it's the truth."

Well after that we said our goodbye's, though at the end he said. Bye guy who losses key, to which I told him to shut up.

Now as I said before he likes to mess with him put of humour, but this time it felt inappropriate and is still kinda of bothering me. Is this normal and if so what should i do?

The only sensible decision is to murder him. Then steal his keys, enter his home and give a glorious belly laugh at the top of your lungs whilst soaked in his neck blood. I can see no other way.

Honey don't let this ruin your friendship. Real best friends are hard to find.

He's just teasing. He saw that you were getting upset and he doubled down on it. Just pretend like he didn't say those things and all will be well.

Uh dude I'm not gonna end my friendship with him over this. Look he is an ass at times but he is respectful of your decisions.

Like over a month ago I had asked him to stop calling idiot, dumb ass and baka (Japanese for idiot) cause it was hurting my feeling's and he did and he hasn't called me it since.

So yeah he is a good friend and I don't wanna end my friendship, I just wanna know what should I do when I get bothered by some of the things he says at times. I'am kind of a sensitive guy.

Tell him you are sensitive and enlighten him as to which of his jokes hurt your feelings. It sounds like you take your work responsibilities more seriously than him, so just tell him it makes you feel undervalued when he makes such accusative jokes to you. I'm sure that's not his intention, he's probably just trying to brighten his own day not knowing that it affects you negatively.
