Is it normal for long term psychoactive effects of diphenhydramine

So I've started using diphenhydramine recreationally. After my fourth time, I started seeing things in my preffrial vision for days after use and still today. I see people that aren't there in the corner of my eye all the time now. Is it normal?

Dude, don't take Benadryl recreationally. For one thing, it's not a very fun drug. Also, for the amount you have to take to get fucked up, you'll have a monster hangover and lethargy the next day. I've done it once or twice, it's really not terribly fun. If you're insistent on getting fucked up on over the counter meds, do DXM--also has monster hangover when taken in sufficient quantities, but more fun and interesting. It can get you FUCKED up.
Don't ask me why, but I think Benadryl is an especially bad drug to take in excess. It's a gut feeling. Also, recent studies have shown it may contribute to dementia.

I doubt it's the shadow people, that's brought on by lack of sleep and excessive stimulant use.

I'm happy to say I've never seen them. I do wonder what it's like for those who have.

In the past, I've stayed up for a couple days on Adderall--cram studying and finishing papers. I never saw the shadow people, but I think I've gotten sort of close. Once you've been awake on stims long enough, you begin to see things out of the corner of your eye, you begin to sense something just out of your line of sight. That's the closest I've ever gotten.
