    Yes, they do that as they become more aware that toileting is a private thing. It's a good sign they're about ready for toilet training, as it means they know it's happening.

    Ive seen children in diapers who would squat when they did have to shit. It's cute. But i agree, that kid is ready for toilet training.

    All my kids did this. The cutest and funniest was my son, who would “hide” in plain sight by closing his eyes and leaning on the kitchen counter with his bum right in the doorway as he pooped himself.
