Is it normal for kids to behave and talk this way?

My brother is 6, and my sister is 9. They seemed to be the most innocent of all of us, until recently I had been noticing things.

My younger brother will say sexual things to my sister such as; "Ooh, look at that big booty." "Show me that big booty." In a slightly silly voice. It sounds like play, but I still don't like it.

When I asked my sister if they've ever touched eachother innapropietly, she looked nervous, like she was going to get in trouble. She said no, but I'm still concerned considering her behavior.

Also, my older brother and I caught them looking at pictures of butts and boobs together, my younger sister encouraging my younger brother to look at them. This is when it all started, when I started to feel uncomfortable I mean.

I also caught her kicking him in the butt, while he said in the same slightly silly tone; "Oh yeah baby." Is this normal behavior for prepubescent children?

  • Sounds like sis learned it from somewhere. Please investigate.

Not normal. Her behaviour is very concerning. She's learning this behaviour from somewhere. You must find out where!

No. You need to look into this matter, someone could have influenced them, and if you don't do something, the damage will be even worse.

not unusual especially if your parents did not teach them the differences in their bodies yes even at their age and younger: Parents amaze me at times when asked do you tell your chilren the facts of life about the the differences brothers/sisters; I would be embarrased is te general answer I get: Did you both not have the beautiful act of love to birth them I say: it puts them thinking and I have benefitted many a childs curiousity Maybe you being surprised maybe you should help them yourself or say it to yur parents: you will be loving them very specially as their older sis/bro
