Is it normal for jealous people to falsely accuse someone of a crime?

I am being accused of a crime by these 2 people that have always seemed to be jealous of me. I am wondering if this is like a normal response for crazy, jealous people; or if these people have some deeper issues that should be addressed. Either way, I'm on house arrest, so I would like to get some type of an answer.

    So you didn't commit the crime and you are on house arrest because of it? I hope they'll find out you're innocent soon.
