Is it normal for it to hurt when i poop?

Whenever I poop, most of the time my butthole hurts. Not extremely, but its like the poop is too big.

    Drink more water daily and or eat healthier.

    You may have a cut in there that's causing the pain. I would recommend to see a doctor.

    you're prob. constipated i have that problem. buy stool softeners they might help, &, or drink lots more water & get daily exercise even just walking helps

    This happened to me for years. Let me ask you one more question about this.. does it continue to hurt for hours after defecation? I used to have so much pain during and after using the bathroom that I would not even be able to walk, attend class, or go to work for at least 4 hours. I like to use the bathroom throughout the day and cut it down to using it at night so I can function during the day. This past summer, it got to the point where I could not longer go to the bathroom. I had an anal fissure and had to have a sphincterotomy to close it up and do some cutting. I was hospitalized for this.

    My first time going to the bathroom after the procedure was hell but got better day after day. Had this surgery in August 2012 and by the end of the month I was using it with no pain and no after effects. I am now able to go to the bathroom for pleasure, how I used to like years back. I used to dread going to defecate but now am back to normal. I wish you luck and a speedy recovery if this is what you need.
