Is it normal for how im feeling to mimmic those around me

when people around me are getting stressed or nervous and i have no reas on to be, i start feeling the same, this goes for feeling down and angry as well (especially nervous and sad). Even over texting i start feeling how they are, ie nervous or sad.
Is this normal or am i being over empathetic?

Maybe you are being over empathetic but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Empathy is can be good thing. When you empathize with someone that means that you can better understand him/her. For example, dogs usually take on the anger or frustration that their master has, yet they are always there for you when you need it. I'm not comparing you to a dog, I'm comparing you to a good friend.

Whenever someone in my house would yell, the dog would start howling and try to jump on top of someone and play with them because she didn't like people being angry.

Can't blame your dog. I dislike yelling as well. When I had my dog he would jump on me if I was yelling at him ( this was early on when I was just training him and he would chew on my books). Eventually we reached a mutual understanding and he became my best friend.

I love dogs. But I hate those tiny little chihuahuas and the lap dogs don't do much for me either. In my opinion, a real dog is an animal that can scare a top marine, make an orthodox old Christian woman use the lord's name in vain and give me kisses when I'm sad :D
Lapdogs aren't really good for that.

I agree. I prefer dogs that can help in a fight as well. Not that I'd ever in one.
