My cousin has one blue eye and one half blue half brown eye. Ive heard of two different coloured eyes but i think this is different. I dont think its normal but is there anyone else that has this?
My son and my nephew are both like this and three girls I went to school with - so it must be very common.
People who 'read' the iris usually say that flecks in different parts of the iris represent damage in a particular area eg. right ankle, left elbow etc. but when there is so much brown eye covering blue I can't see how that would apply.
I think it must be similar to hazel eyes only in one large patch.
It might be chimerism. A chimera is a person who is a combination of two people. This happens when one twin absorbs another twin. This person has two sets of DNA. It's an important thing to know because if a chimera takes a paternity or maternity test, they might test negative if the DNA is collected from the wrong part of the body. This is probably quite common and insures the survival of the stronger fetus. Most people never know they have this. He should get tested.
