OK so my girlfriend and i just got together about a week ago, I've been wanting to date her for a little over a year now and i finally have my chance because about 4 weeks ago her boyfriend moved away mind you they have been dating for a year. Recently though she told me she loves him and i cant even describe how many pieces i was in it broke my heart but i fell in love with her long ago so idk what to do. im asking if it is normal for her to feel this way because they broke up so recently? and will these feelings die down? IDK but please Is This Normal?

    I think you rushed into this relationship too fast. 4 weeks is not nearly enough time for her to get over her relationship with her other boyfriend. The feelings probably will die down eventually but you have to give her that time to let her get over them, otherwise you might mess up your chance because she isn't focusing on you.

    Yeah, it's normal for her to not be over him yet. It was a mistake of her to accept you so soon, and a mistake for you to rush in. Frankly, it could be a LOOOOOONG time before her feelings really die down. It could take a year or even more, so, unless you're willing to possibly wait for ANOTHER year, I'd suggest you try to move on yourself.
