Is it normal for guys to borrow each other's sweatshirts?

I'm a girl, I was just wondering. I was freezing in my friends car the other day, and I noticed she had a sweatshirt in the backseat. I asked her if I could borrow it without a second thought.
If a guy were in the same situation as I was, would he ask his guy friend to borrow a sweatshirt or would that just be weird?

In my experience, guys are less comfortable than girls sharing clothing in general. Guys are also more prone to "man up" and deal with the cold so long as it's only for a limited amount of time, whereas girls tend not to have those insecurities. If a guy friend asked me if he could borrow a jumper or a coat, I wouldn't think he was weird and it's a shame that any guy would. That being said, I would feel weird asking for one myself (I feel weird asking people for anything though, so don't take me as a barometer).

It's not "normal" but there's nothing wrong with it. We just tend to stick to our own stuff, and not worry about inconveniencing each other to borrow each others' clothes. I've been jacket-less many a time and never asked to borrow a friend's jacket... I don't know why really, but it's just not.. done. ^.^ I agree with the first poster as well, that I would not, and have not hesitated to give anything to a friend in need if he asks, some people are more open with their needs and wants than others I guess. I love to share, but I really hate to "ask" for things LOL

It is normal for us to ask BUT we mostly take it like men and endure the cold.
