Is it normal for girls to where ugg boots and shorts?

I've never understood how this causes so much offence. It's just someone's clothes. It's not like they've shot your dog.

Shorts are hot and all, but it's kinda contradictory to be wearing uggs w/ them. The more promiscuous girls I know seem to just always wear that stuff, and I think they look fucking stupid.

i like ugg boots theyre really comfy and they dont look that bad... but i wouldnt wear them like those girls do i wear them with jeans or maybe a skirt and tights lol

I get what you're saying, but there are loads of other examples of fashion-over-practicality, many people (mostly girls) will wear what they think looks good, regardless of how appropriate or practical it is.

I've always assumed Ugg stands for Uggly anyway.

It's there body and they can dress it however they like. I'm a guy and personally I find shorts to be attractive on a girl.

Yeah it's normal to get irritated by this but if you live in Southern California get used to it. I'm Mexican-American and I wear Ugg boots with skirts all the time so it's not just white people doing this (people from all races can be unfashionable lol). I don't know, it's just a comfort thing they're like flip-flops to me (which I personally find sloppy and tacky)and it's never so hot that wearing Uggs would be uncomfortable but not so cold that I would be freezing in a skirt. I'm from San Diego and the weather's pretty much perpetually warm and sunny so maybe weather has something to do with this? But I never wear Uggs trying to look fashionable or stylish, I know I look like an idiot while wearing them but who cares, I'm comfortable.

I had to comment again. Is it just me, or does it seem like people are missing the point. The OP didn't say she disliked uggs or disliked shorts. She's saying they look stupid TOGETHER. Seems like everyone decided to pick one and just talk about it..

its just what is in fashion at the moment. dont worry, something else will replace that look next year. but uggs are super comfortable and i have a few different pairs, even a pair with homer simpson on them lol

I never saw the problem so many people have with Uggs. They are at best cute, at worst neutral. They don't bother me at all. That said, around here they are pretty rare. Maybe if everyone wore them it might get a little tiresome.

Call me a snob, but I'd be embarrassed if one of my friends wore them out in public.
