Is it normal for girls to obsess over a guys butt?

first off i gotta say that i know women look at a mans body basically the same way that a man looks at a womans body.being a boy,im not exactly sure what an attractive boy would look like, especially their butt.women tease me and flatter me about my butt all the time,to the point where i feel really objectified and a little embarrassed,i get terribly shy and blush sometimes.i never really compared my butt to other boys,but i wondered what the attraction was about my butt that made girls get so obsessive.i started to notice most boys really dont have any butt at all,mine looks more like it belongs to a curvy girl.you see,when i was little(i mean like 10 years old),i was really into how far and high i could jump,and looked into ways to improve my jumping ability,so i did a crazy amount of lower body exercises,in an attempt to jump higher and farther,which really did improve my jumping ability.in P.E,like almost 5 years ago,we took some measurements,i,and alot of other people,including my female P.E teacher, were shocked! i had a 32 inch waist,and a 42 inch butt,every other boy had like a one or 2 inch difference between their waist and butt,but mine was 10.this drew ALOT of attention to my a**,which was really,really weird.suddenly,my butt was famous.girls i had never even met would touch it and grab it without even asking or saying anything,which might sound cool,but it was really awkward,and still to this day my butt becomes the topic of many conversations when i party or am just hanging out,its SOOOOOO weird,even guys talk about it.girls basically force me to flaunt it.so um,what do girls really think about boys' butts,is it the same as what a boy thinks about a girls?or am i some kind of bottom-heavy freak/circus attraction?
