I know like three gay guys that do this is this normal.they usually use it in place of sucks. EX. "well thats gay" when you see some thing that is impractical

    I say it the time and I am gay myself. I don't find it offensive at all but my youngest brother who is also gay is so sensitive does. It depends on the person using it.

    Another way I couldn't care less being called a faggot but my youngest brother takes it to heart. My straight brother calls me "poof" and I just laugh.

    At the end of the day, it's only a word so who really cares!

    They are using "gay" to mean "lame". Some gays find it offensive but some have picked up the slang.

    kinda like when people use racial slurs for their own race
