Is it normal for friendship to feel like a relationship?

I've been friends with this guy for a while now, and over the past 3 months things have developed into a more of a "friends with benefits" kind of situation.

But now when were around eachother in a social context it always feels like we're in a relationship even though we're not.

in your experience, when youve had sex with a friend can you still act the same as before or will your friendship be full of sexual innuendos?

ive been in this kind of situation before and we've always just been the same as normal!

The only problem I've always found with fwb relationships is that inevitably (it always seems) one of the parties ends up wanting more than the other and that's where the problems start. I've done this twice myself and on both accounts it's ended badly because either I wanted more and he didn't (I ended up falling for him) or vice versa.
As far as behaviour goes of course you can act the same as you always did, just try not to let yourself get swept up in any romantic notions you might get or start reading too much into things.
Personally for me after seeing it turn out awfully both ways and losing two great friendships because of it I would never go down that road again.

A friendship is a kind of a relationship.

I agree with both comments above, FWB relationships never seem to work because somebody always wants something more. You might be able to act the same way for now, but eventually feelings could change and it'll become different and someone could get hurt. Just be careful.

FWB can never work. At least in my mind, it will always lead to something more. I couldn't actally do a FWB, it just seems wrong somehow. I'm old-fashioned i guess.
